In the midst of achieving it’s business objectives, LSP had placed emphasis on social and community development towards it employees and environment. There is a modern housing complex with clean water & electricity, good infrastructure in and around the plantation and the rural neighborhood.  Lam Soon Plantations Sdn Bhd was nominated by the Sabah Government as MPOB – “Anugerah Industri Sawit Malaysia 2011/2012" to represent Lahad Datu district for the best maintained plantations labour force. The nomination reflects Lam Soon’s commitment to the wellbeing of its plantation work force.  The plantation sustainability effort was recognized by MPOA when its estate was chosen to be highlighted in the MPOA book title “In Pursuit of Sustainability” published in 2014.
